We are seeking a passionate and experienced IBDP English Teacher to join our International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. The ideal candidate will inspire a love for literature and language, foster critical thinking, and prepare students for success in the IB Diploma Programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the IB Diploma Programme curriculum.
- Teach English A: Language and Literature and/or English A: Literature.
- Prepare students for IB internal and external assessments, including Paper 1, Paper 2, Individual Oral, and the HL Essay.
- Design assessments, provide meaningful feedback, and monitor student progress.
- Develop unit plans and learning experiences that integrate Approaches to Teaching and Learning (ATL) skills.
- Support students' academic growth and mentor Extended Essay (EE) candidates as assigned.
- Collaborate with the DP Coordinator and colleagues to uphold IB standards and contribute to curriculum development.
- Participate in IB training, moderation, standardization, and ongoing professional development
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in English, Literature, or a related field (preferred).
- IB training and certification in DP English (preferred).
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in the IB Diploma Programme or an equivalent curriculum (e.g., A Levels or AP).
- Strong understanding of IB pedagogy and assessment practices.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to integrate technology into teaching and thrive in a collaborative, multicultural environment.
