Role Overview:

We are seeking a current or former Singapore English language teacher to join our product development team part-time. In this role, you will bridge the gap between educational needs and product solutions, ensuring Edcafe meets the real-world demands of English language teachers and classrooms, with a particular focus on PSLE preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

English Language Content Development:

  • Create high-quality English language files and content using Edcafe features
  • Develop sample content sets for primary levels (P4-P6) that showcase best practices
  • Design templates and guidelines for effective English language instruction
  • Focus on key areas: composition writing, oral communication, grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension

Product Strategy and Collaboration:

  • Work with the product team to identify what English language teachers need
  • Provide pedagogical expertise to inform content strategy and priorities
  • Share insights on real classroom needs and teacher workflows

Singapore Context Expertise:

  • Ensure all content aligns with MOE English Language Syllabus and PSLE assessment standards
  • Incorporate authentic Singapore contexts, scenarios, and culturally relevant elements
  • Advise on PSLE exam requirements and student learning challenges

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of English language teaching experience in Singapore primary schools (P4-P6 experience preferred)
  • Deep knowledge of MOE English Language Syllabus and PSLE exam format
  • Strong understanding of curriculum development and instructional design
  • Experience creating teaching resources or educational materials
  • Familiarity with AI and educational technology tools
