Role Description This is a full-time or Part -time, on-site English Instructor role based in Cairo. The English Instructor will plan and deliver interactive conversation-focused lessons that build students’ confidence and fluency in real-life situations. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and materials, facilitating group and one-to-one speaking activities, monitoring learner progress, and providing constructive feedback on pronunciation, vocabulary, and accuracy. The instructor will also assess student needs, adapt teaching methods to different levels, and use a variety of communicative techniques and tools to keep classes engaging. Additional tasks may include contributing to curriculum development, maintaining accurate records of attendance and progress, and participating in team meetings or training sessions to continuously improve teaching quality.
Qualifications
- Strong command of English (near-native or native level) with excellent speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
- Demonstrated experience teaching English as a second or foreign language, preferably in conversation-focused or communicative settings.
- Ability to design and deliver interactive lessons that prioritize speaking practice, real-life communication, and learner engagement.
- Skilled in classroom management, with the ability to create an inclusive, supportive, and respectful learning environment for diverse learners.
- Comfort with using digital tools (e.g., presentation software, video conferencing platforms, learning apps) to enhance lessons and student participation.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and feedback skills, with a learner-centered approach and patience in supporting different proficiency levels.
- Willingness to work on-site in Cairo with a consistent full-time schedule, and to collaborate with colleagues on curriculum and program improvement.
