Job Description
The English First Language Teacher will be responsible for teaching English to Primary and Secondary students, preparing lesson plans and learning materials, assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and creating an engaging, supportive, and language-rich classroom environment. The teacher is also expected to collaborate with the academic team, support students’ language development, and contribute to school programs when needed.
Key Responsibilities
• Teach English to Primary and Secondary students
• Prepare lesson plans, learning materials, and classroom activities
• Assess student progress through assignments, projects, and evaluations
• Provide clear and constructive feedback to support student improvement
• Create an engaging English learning environment that builds confidence, fluency, and communication skills
• Collaborate with colleagues and academic leaders to support student learning
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
Main Requirement
• Prior experience teaching English First Language within Cambridge, OxfordAQA, or similar international curricula at Primary and Secondary levels
Qualifications
• Advanced English proficiency with strong grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and classroom communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field
• Teaching certification such as TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, PGCE, or equivalent is an advantage
• Experience teaching in international, bilingual, or English-medium school settings is preferred
• Strong lesson planning, classroom management, and student assessment skills
• Commitment to inclusive education, learner-centered learning, and culturally responsive teaching
• Ability to work collaboratively, adapt to diverse learning needs, and uphold professional ethics
