Summary
Alcona Elementary is seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement, creativity, and academic growth. Responsibilities
– Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and meet the diverse needs of students.
– Create a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and a love for learning.
– Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, including tests, projects, and observations, and provide constructive feedback.
– Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and academic needs.
– Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and share best practices for teaching and learning.
– Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and methodologies.
– Manage classroom behavior and implement effective discipline strategies to maintain a conducive learning environment.
– Incorporate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning experiences.
– Support and participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and community outreach programs.
Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
– Valid teaching certification for elementary education in the state.
– Strong understanding of child development and effective instructional strategies.
– Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
– Experience working with children in an educational setting preferred.
– Proficiency in using technology for teaching and classroom management.
– Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom culture.
– Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.
