Role Description
BCISB is seeking a full-time Elementary School Teacher to join our growing team in Bangkok. The teacher will design and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with the BC Curriculum and the IB PYP framework, contributing to a school culture grounded in the PYP's approaches to teaching and learning.
Responsibilities include developing transdisciplinary units of inquiry, assessing student progress through formative and summative approaches, and fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom environment. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with colleagues on PYP planning processes, communicate regularly with parents, and actively contribute to school events and initiatives.
Experience with IB PYP or inquiry-based learning is strongly preferred. Some experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs (SEN) is required.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in curriculum development and IB PYP-aligned teaching
- Demonstrated experience in Elementary Education
- Familiarity with IB PYP philosophy, transdisciplinary learning, and inquiry-based pedagogy
- Ability to differentiate instruction and support students with diverse learning needs (SEN)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (required)
- Valid teaching certification or license in the relevant subject area
