The Role Purpose

As an EFL Teacher, you are the heartbeat of our classrooms. You will be responsible for engaging students and maximizing their learning outcomes across a variety of courses, including General English, IELTS, Cambridge exam prep, Business, Finance, and EAP/ESP. Beyond the classroom, you will occasionally help shape our academic ecosystem by developing materials, testing students, leading exciting social programme activities, and participating in CPD sessions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspiring Delivery: Plan, deliver, and assess student work tailored to course objectives, utilizing a creative variety of teaching methods and classroom technology.
  • Academic Administration: Maintain precise student attendance and thorough, organized learner records.
  • Continuous Growth: Arrive on site at least 15 minutes before your first lesson, participate in regular objective-setting meetings with your Academic Coordinator, and attend monthly CPD sessions (DELTA-qualified teachers may be asked to lead these!).
  • Collaboration: Attend team meetings to contribute to school decision-making and build productive working relationships.
  • Course Evolution: Help develop, update, and actively improve course materials.

Safeguarding and Welfare

  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment within your venue.
  • Provide exceptional emotional and pastoral care, championing student mental and physical wellbeing.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively with the full support of our academic management team.
  • Maintain a proactive awareness of the Prevent Duty and all EP safeguarding, attendance, and welfare policies.

What We Are Looking For (Skills & Experience)

Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any subject
  • TEFLi qualification (CELTA/CertTESOL)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience.

Desirable:

  • DELTA, Trinity DipTESOL, or a relevant Master’s level equivalent.

Your Skills:

  • A structured yet highly creative approach to lesson planning.
  • Ease and creativity when integrating classroom technology (including experience supporting learners both online and face-to-face).
  • Exceptional communication skills and a highly motivated mindset that thrives with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills: the ability to prioritize your workload, work under pressure, and hit tight deadlines with great attention to detail.
  • A flexible, positive attitude and a passion for working with diverse groups of people.
