Position: Economics and Finance – Associate Prof / Assistant Professor
We are looking for an accomplished academic professional with expertise in Economics and Finance. The candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, contributing to research activities, guiding students, and engaging in academic administration. A strong research background and a passion for teaching are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in areas such as Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Financial Management, Corporate Finance, Financial Markets, Econometrics, Investment Analysis, and related subjects.
Develop and update course content, learning materials, and assessment methods.
Supervise student research projects, theses, and dissertations.
Engage in scholarly research and publish in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals (Scopus, ABDC, etc.).
Participate in curriculum design and academic program development.
Mentor and advise students on academic and career matters.
Actively contribute to departmental and institutional committees, events, and initiatives.
Foster industry collaborations, internships, and placement opportunities.
Organize conferences, seminars, and workshops.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Economics / Finance / Business Administration / Commerce or a closely related field (Mandatory).
First-class or equivalent grades in preceding degrees (Master’s and Bachelor’s).
Minimum:
Assistant Professor: 1-3 years of teaching/research/industry experience (post-Ph.D. is pulse)
Associate Professor:
Ph.D. and Minimum 6 years of teaching/research/industry experience with a consistent research and publication record.
Desirable Skills
Strong academic publication record in reputed journals.
Expertise in financial data analysis software and econometric tools
Ability to integrate theoretical concepts with real-world applications.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Capacity to undertake consulting and sponsored research projects.
Experience in case-based, experiential, and blended learning methods is desirable.
