Role Description The Early Years Teacher will provide high-quality classroom instruction and care for young learners, creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and delivering age-appropriate lessons, facilitating play-based and experiential learning, assessing learners’ progress, and maintaining accurate records. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to align classroom activities with the school’s curriculum and Islamic values, and will maintain consistent communication with parents and caregivers. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Nigeria, requiring active participation in school events, staff meetings, and professional development activities.
Qualifications

  • Relevant teaching qualification or degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working with early years or preschool-age children in a formal classroom or educational setting.
  • Strong classroom management, lesson planning, and assessment skills, with the ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build positive relationships with learners, colleagues, and parents.
  • Understanding of child development principles and play-based, learner-centered teaching methods.
  • Alignment with Islamic values and willingness to integrate faith-based perspectives into classroom practice in an inclusive and respectful manner.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team, demonstrate professionalism, and engage in continuous learning and development.
  • Basic digital literacy and ability to use educational technologies and tools to support teaching and learning.
  • Experience in international or multicultural school environments is an advantage.
