Early Years Educator – Nursery Setting

Location: BS14, Bristol

Contract: Full-time and part-time opportunities available

Salary: Negotiable (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Start Date: ASAP

About The Role

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Early Years Educator to join a welcoming nursery in the BS14 area. This role involves working across all areas of the nursery, supporting children at different stages of their early development.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate practitioner who is committed to providing high-quality care and education, helping children to learn, develop, and thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Support the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum

Work across all age groups within the nursery as required

Plan and engage children in fun, stimulating, and age-appropriate activities

Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development

Build positive relationships with children, colleagues, and parents/carers

Ensure a safe, clean, and inclusive environment at all times

Observe, assess, and record children’s progress effectively

Follow safeguarding policies and procedures

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Has prior experience working in a nursery or early years setting (essential)

Holds a relevant Early Years qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 preferred)

Has a good understanding of the EYFS framework

Is enthusiastic, caring, and passionate about early childhood development

Is flexible and confident working across different age groups

Has strong communication and teamwork skills

Is committed to providing a high standard of care and education

Essential Criteria

  • Able to work 5 days a week
  • Right to work in the UK – we CANNOT accept sponsorship or a skilled worker visa
  • Minimum two recent references, covering the last two years
  • Up-to-date DBS/police check, or be willing to obtain one*
  • Please note, if you do not have a Non-Voluntary Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, we will need to help you process a new one at a cost of £62.70. This will be refunded after 20 days of work with us.

Pay: Five Education operates a PAYE payroll; this is the most transparent way to be paid with no hidden fees such as admin fee or employer's NI. Please note pay rate is for illustration and does include holiday pay.

Successful applicants will be required to undergo checks including reference checks, TRA checks and will need to have a DBS. There will also be an interview.
