Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Early Childhood (age 3-5) Teacher / Montessori Teacher at Big Sky Discovery Academy, located in Big Sky, MT. The teacher will develop and implement age-appropriate learning activities, nurture young children's development, and create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment. Responsibilities include designing and executing lesson plans based on Montessori or early childhood education principles, observing and documenting each child's progress, and fostering a love of learning. Collaboration with colleagues, families, and the school community is essential to ensure the educational and emotional growth of each child.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, and an understanding of best practices for young learners
- Strong Teaching and Classroom Management skills, with a passion for working with children
- Experience in Curriculum Development and lesson planning under early childhood or Montessori education frameworks
- Ability to create an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Montessori Education, or a related field
- Montessori certification or experience working in Montessori settings is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to partner with students, families, and colleagues
- Commitment to fostering a positive and dynamic learning experience in a classroom setting
