We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Montessori Teachers to join our early childhood education team. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate Montessori curriculum that encourages exploration, critical thinking, and creativity.
- Create a structured yet flexible classroom environment that promotes independence, responsibility, and social-emotional growth.
- Observe and assess individual student progress, tailoring instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies.
- Prepare lesson plans that incorporate Montessori materials and methods, ensuring alignment with developmental milestones.
- Foster strong communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress, milestones, and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional strategies and maintain a cohesive educational approach.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare regulations.
- Support the physical, emotional, and social well-being of children through attentive care and guidance.
- Maintain accurate records of student development and participate in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education.
Experience
- Prior experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting is required; Montessori classroom experience is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development theories, curriculum development, and early intervention strategies.
- Experience in behavior management techniques suitable for early learners.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood education.
- Proven ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math skills, physical education, and other core areas.
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws and child safety protocols.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Previous experience in private or daycare settings is advantageous; certification in Montessori teaching methods is desirable.
Education Requirements
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
- Associate or Bachelor degree in early childhood education or related field.
- Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE) preferred (or willingness to complete within two years of hire)
- 3-5 years of teaching experience, ideally in a Montessori environment
Licensing/Certification Requirements
- First Aid/CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- DEEDS certification as an Early Childhood Teacher (within 60 days of hire)
