Position: Support Early Childhood Educator at HRCE
Enhance children’s learning at the Halifax Regional Centre for Education as a Support Early Childhood Educator. This role focuses on collaboration, observation, and creating a nurturing environment for preschool kids.
As a Support Early Childhood Educator, you’ll assist the Lead ECE by preparing materials and arranging learning centers, working closely to meet children’s individual learning needs. Your responsibilities include observing activities and supporting transitions between activities to foster a safe and engaging atmosphere. Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Lead Educator to enhance children’s learning
• Prepare engaging materials and arrange learning spaces
• Observe and report on children’s activities and progress
• Facilitate smooth transitions during learning activities
• Create a safe and respectful environment for children
Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education
• Minimum one year experience with preschool children
• Valid First Aid Certification
• Experience in play-based learning environments is an asset
• Recent professional experience (within last 5 years)
