Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Early Childhood Educator at Middleton by EtonHouse Preschool Surabaya, located in Surabaya. The Early Childhood Educator will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging, age-appropriate educational activities using the inquiry-based “Inquire-Think-Learn” approach. Key responsibilities include fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment, supporting children's development across cognitive, social-emotional, and physical domains, and collaborating with other educators and families for holistic child growth. Regular documentation of children’s learning journeys and participation in professional development programs will also be key aspects of this role.
Qualifications
- Strong Early Childhood Development expertise and experience working with children
- Exceptional Interpersonal Skills for effective communication with children, colleagues, and families
- Creativity and the ability to design and implement engaging, inquiry-based activities
- Strong Organization Skills and attention to detail for managing classroom activities and documentation
- Relevant academic qualifications, such as a degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education or related fields
- Ability to stay up-to-date with current educational practices and participate in professional development opportunities
- Proficiency in English; additional language skills are an advantage
- Familiarity with the Reggio Emilia approach is highly desirable
