Job Description

Key Responsibilities

SEP Compliance and Regulatory Management

  • Ensure full compliance with SEP regulations, guidelines, and official educational frameworks for preschool education.
  • Oversee the correct implementation of the authorized curriculum (planes y programas).
  • Maintain and safeguard all official documentation required by SEP (academic records, attendance, evaluations, reports, etc.).
  • Prepare and manage documentation for inspections, audits, and official visits.
  • Act as the official liaison with SEP authorities and respond to any regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that all administrative and academic processes align with RVOE requirements (if applicable).

Academic Supervision and Quality Assurance

  • Supervise lesson planning, classroom practices, and assessment processes to ensure alignment with SEP standards.
  • Monitor the academic development and progress of students.
  • Ensure proper evaluation, grading, and reporting practices according to official guidelines.
  • Promote continuous improvement in teaching practices and learning outcomes.

Teacher Supervision and Support

  • Supervise and guide teaching staff in the correct implementation of the curriculum.
  • Provide feedback, coaching, and support to improve instructional quality.
  • Ensure teachers maintain complete and accurate academic records.
  • Identify training needs and support professional development aligned with SEP requirements.

Documentation and Audit Readiness

  • Ensure all academic and administrative records are accurate, complete, and audit-ready at all times.
  • Monitor the proper use and completion of official formats, reports, and student files.
  • Establish internal controls to guarantee traceability and compliance of all processes.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and evidence.

Planning and Administration

  • Support the development of the academic calendar in accordance with SEP requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with instructional hours, attendance tracking, and reporting obligations.
  • Participate in institutional planning and decision-making processes.
  • Coordinate with administrative areas to ensure proper enrollment and student records management.

Communication and Institutional Representation

  • Maintain professional communication with parents regarding academic and regulatory matters when required.
  • Coordinate with school leadership to ensure alignment between academic and operational goals.
  • Represent the preschool section in official or institutional meetings when needed.

Safeguarding and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and institutional policies.
  • Promote a culture of child protection, wellbeing, and ethical professional conduct.
  • Ensure all processes involving students meet legal and institutional standards.

  • Strong knowledge of SEP regulations and preschool educational frameworks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Pedagogy, or related field.
  • Valid teaching credentials required by SEP.
  • Knowledge of RVOE processes and SEP compliance requirements.
  • Additional certifications in educational leadership or administration (desirable).

Experience

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in preschool education.
  • Previous experience in academic coordination, technical direction, or similar roles (highly desirable).
  • Proven experience managing SEP compliance, inspections, or audits.
  • Experience supervising teachers and ensuring curriculum implementation.
  • Experience handling academic documentation and regulatory processes.
