Location: Greater London

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Deputy Nursery Manager to work 30 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, supporting the day‑to‑day running of our nursery provision and helping to provide outstanding care, learning and development opportunities for our youngest children.

Whilst this post is advertised as 30 hours per week, there may be some flexibility in the contracted hours for the successful candidate, subject to the needs of the nursery.

The successful candidate will hold a relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent) and be passionate about supporting high‑quality early years provision.

Responsibilities

  • Build positive relationships with children, families and staff.
  • Support the Nursery Manager in creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can thrive, develop confidence and make excellent progress.
  • Assist in planning and delivering high‑quality early years provision that meets children’s needs and promotes an inclusive culture.
  • Help maintain high expectations for all children and support the Trust’s commitment to excellence.
  • Contribute to safeguarding, health and safety, and overall well‑being of children.

Qualifications

  • Relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
  • Strong passion for children’s care, learning and development.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and improving practice.
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures and equality, diversity and inclusion principles.
  • Good spoken English, meeting the statutory English language requirement for public‑sector employees.
  • Experience or a willingness to develop leadership skills in the nursery environment.
