The faculty demonstrates and applies a thorough and accurate knowledge of the teaching field and discipline and attends to class assignments. The faculty strives for continual improvement of student success, and faculty members must plan an optimal learning environment; provide high-quality instruction and advising; assess themselves, their students, and their teaching techniques in order to increase effectiveness and continue their own professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates and applies a thorough and accurate knowledge of the teaching field and discipline.
  • Meets classes as scheduled observing punctuality at the beginning and end of class periods.
  • Maintains currency in subject matter through professional development.
  • Plans and organizes instructions that maximize student learning.
  • Effectively employs teaching and learning strategies.
  • Modifies instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse students’ needs.
  • Effectively employs available instructional technology when appropriate.
  • Effectively communicates subject matter content to students and provides students with course syllabi, the title of textbook/s and reference materials to be used.
  • Contributes to the selection and development of instructional materials.
  • Develops and uses evaluation methods, which fairly measure student progress toward outcomes.
  • Evaluates and expeditiously returns student work to promote maximum learning.
  • Maintains accurate records of student progress.
  • Submits final grades and supporting documents according to established deadlines.
  • Meets the deadlines set for the submission of grades and other required reports.
  • Maintains and attends official duty hours to ensure accessibility to students and colleagues.
  • Prepares, distributes, and submits syllabi and approved course outlines for all assigned sections in accordance with programs, division, and school procedures according to established deadlines.
  • Serves on college, divisional, and program committees, teams, and task forces as assigned.
  • Attends scheduled faculty meetings, convocations, and other official school events and activities wherein attendance is required by the school.
  • Responds in a timely fashion to information request from school administration and program chairs.
  • Fosters and maintains an effective working relationship with students, colleagues, and Program Chair/Dean.
  • Contributes to planning and development processes through appropriate channels.
  • Performs professional responsibilities in accordance with pertinent goals, mission, and plans of the school, division, and program.
  • Updates professional license annually (when applicable) and reflects the lessons learned in seminars, conferences, and classroom instructions.
  • Performs other activities assigned by the Program Chair and/or Dean from time to time.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant data privacy regulations, including the Data Privacy Act of 2012.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Dentist.
  • With aligned Master's Degree or Doctorate Degree in Dental Science, Dental Education or any relevant degree.
  • With at least three (3) years of academic or industry experience in a related field of expertise.
  • With training certifications related to skills.
  • With active membership in a professional organization.
  • Willing to report in Mabalacat, Pampanga.
  • Full Time Position.
