Title: Curriculum Designer, 2 Hour Learning (Remote) – $100,000/year USD
Company: Crossover
Location: Lagos, Lagos State, Nigeria
Do you analyze the intricate layers of a Shakespearean sonnet as naturally as you deconstruct a word's phonetic blueprint? Picture applying that depth of linguistic and literary knowledge alongside advanced AI to reimagine how millions of students achieve mastery in language and literature. At 2 Hour Learning, we're not simply predicting the future of English education—we're engineering it into an adaptive, immersive learning experience.
We're looking for a visionary leader to drive our transformation of English and Language Arts education through rigorous data analysis, pioneering AI integration, and profound subject expertise. Your objective? To double the rate at which students acquire language skills and literary analysis capabilities, spanning foundational phonics through sophisticated literary criticism.
At 2 Hour Learning, we're revolutionizing K-12 education with measurable outcomes. Our AI-powered learning platform is reshaping student learning, allowing them to achieve subject mastery at twice the pace of conventional schooling. We're not adjusting the existing system; we're reconstructing it entirely, backed by compelling data. Students on our platform routinely earn 4s and 5s on five or more AP exams, exhibit growth exceeding two years on annual MAP assessments, and surpass their own perceived limits of achievement.
If you're prepared to deploy deep ELA expertise within an AI system already delivering proven results, apply now.
What You Will Be Doing
- Examine student reading and writing performance metrics — including Reel engagement, MAP scores, and assessment outcomes — leveraging AI workflows and LLM orchestrations to pinpoint learning gaps and develop targeted interventions. (This represents approximately 40% of your time.)
- Building AI-driven tools that respond to individual learning preferences, rendering grammar intuitive, vocabulary acquisition engaging, and literary analysis approachable for students across all proficiency levels.
- Creating dynamic learning sequences that adjust in real-time, shepherding students from phonics through the interpretation of complex texts, ensuring each learner advances at an ideal pace.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, assessment specialists, and AI engineers to ensure content alignment with curriculum standards and verify the accuracy of AI-generated materials.
- Converting classic and contemporary literature into interactive, AI-enhanced learning experiences that both educate students and spark their enthusiasm for reading and writing.
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Overseeing traditional English curricula or performing administrative duties—this position centers on innovation and strategic advancement in how language arts are delivered and absorbed within our accelerated framework.
- Manually grading large volumes of essays — AI manages the assessment workload so you can concentrate on refining the system, not evaluating papers.
- Teaching toward standardized tests — students here consistently exceed AP benchmarks, allowing your efforts to focus on enriching mastery, not rehearsing for compliance.
