Location: Assigned Campus
Contract: Term time 39 weeks (to include the last week in August)
Hours: 9am – 5pm
Salary: (£47,775.00) FTE (actual salary £35,831.25)
Days: 5 days per week
Purpose of the role
- Responsible for high quality teaching, learning and assessment for students aged 16–25 on Level 2 and Level 3 programmes.
- Deliver multidisciplinary high quality, innovative teaching and learning.
- Responsible for all students, including those with SEND, make strong academic, practical, social, and emotional progress.
- Model and embed Pinc College’s Pedagogy, Methodology and Universal Strategies.
- Create a neuro-affirming and trauma-informed learning environment.
- Assist with building partnerships with cultural spaces and community organisations to enrich learning.
Teaching, Learning & Curriculum Delivery
- Plan and deliver Level 2/3 programmes.
- Differentiate teaching using universal strategies.
- Use sensory, visual, and kinesthetic approaches.
- Embed Pinc pedagogy throughout lessons.
- Connect learning with cultural venues and real-world applications, prioritising asset-based teaching.
- Create engaging Schemes of Learning, embedding real world and asset learning, gaining support from wider Pinc Group Team Members and resources.
- Work with the support team to deliver well-coordinated sessions and independent learning.
Assessment & Progress Tracking
- Assess coursework and portfolios.
- Participate in standardisation activities.
- Record meaningful ILP targets and progress.
- Provide high-quality, developmental feedback through a variety of methods including session goal booklets.
- Ensure timely qualification completion.
- Contribute evidence to EHCP reviews.
- Ensure progress point completion throughout the year.
- Use intervention strategies effectively where students are falling below their potential.
SEND, Wellbeing, & Pastoral Support
- Collaborate with Learning Support to maintain and improve student experience and outcomes.
- Support emotional literacy and independence.
- Build safe, trauma-informed relationships.
- Embed strength-based, neuro-affirming approaches.
- Meet deadlines, targets and KPI’s.
Safeguarding & Health and Safety
- Act as a safeguarding practitioner.
- Follow risk assessments.
- Ensure safe use of tools and materials.
- Respond appropriately to disclosures and incidents.
Community & Partnership Engagement
- Build relationships with cultural venues, ensuring continual asset-based approaches.
- Responsible for trips and workshops.
- Represent Pinc College professionally.
Communication & Teamwork
- Attend daily briefings and team meetings.
- Share resources and best practice.
- Engage positively with parents and carers.
- Disseminate any networking external networks and training to the wider team.
- Work effectively with the Teaching and Learning Lead and Quality of Curriculum and Outcomes Lead.
Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
- Level 3 teaching qualification
- Level 4 or above Creative qualification
- Level 2 equivalent English and maths qualifications (or willing to work towards and achieve within the first academic year)
- Enhanced DBS with child workforce
Desirable
- Level 4 or above teaching in post 16 education
- ICT Qualification
- SEND Qualification
- IQA quals
- Enhanced DBS with child workforce on update service
Experience
Essential
- Worked in Further Education and/or Specialist Provision with students with SEND
- Successfully teaching students cohorts through full qualifications

- Creative enterprise and business skills
- Evidence of continued professional development

Hard Skills

- Experience using Student Management Information Systems
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft tools, especially Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook
