JOB SUMMARY

The Faculty Member will be responsible for delivering high-quality academic instruction, mentoring college students, and conducting practical training in Tourism and Travel Management via roleplays, classroom activities case studies. The ideal candidate will bridge academic theory – covering destination management, tour operations, hospitality logistics, and regional tourism dynamics – to prepare undergraduate students for successful careers in the global travel industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Academic Delivery & Curriculum Design: Lecture on core subjects such as Tour Operations, Sustainable Tourism, Destination Marketing, Geography of Tourism, and Travel Agency Management. Update course curricula to align with current global and regional travel trends.
  • Student Mentorship & Career Guidance: Serve as an academic advisor, guide students through dissertation projects, internships, and provide career counseling for roles in destination management, airlines, and hospitality operations.
  • Practical & Field Training: Design, coordinate, and supervise experiential learning opportunities, including field trips, live tour simulations, and mandatory industry internships.
  • Compliance & Accreditation: Maintain meticulous records of student attendance, lesson plans, and grading criteria in strict compliance with university regulations and educational accreditation bodies.

ELIGIBILITY & QUALIFICATION

  • Experience: Prior experience teaching college-level students or significant managerial experience in corporate tour operations, destination management organizations, or travel consulting.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Pedagogical Excellence: Advanced classroom facilitation, lecture presentation, and public speaking skills, with the ability to engage and inspire young adult learners.
  • Industry Domain Knowledge
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, alongside professional interpersonal abilities to collaborate with faculty and industry stakeholders.
  • Leadership & Class Management: Strong organizational skills to manage diverse student cohorts, foster an inclusive learning environment, and maintain academic discipline.

WORK REQUIREMENTS

  • Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to adhere to university timetables, exam supervision schedules, and participate in weekend workshops or college events when required.
  • Field Excursions: Ability and willingness to lead students on outdoor field trips and as well as to guide students on classroom activities, roleplays etc..
