Eligibility/Qualification–
Qualification: As per UGC norms.
Job/Position Description-
- Applications are invited for the selection of Assistant Professor on Contract for the academic year 2024-2025.
- The engagement of Assistant Professor on Contract faculties will be purely on contract basis for one academic year and likely to be extended for another 2 years based on the annual performance appraisal report.
- The vacancies arose due to the No Candidate Available/ Not Joining for Duty/ Turn Passed Over categories in the previous years and the fresh vacancies in continuation with the rotation roaster in University for different Department/ Schools.
- Reservation rotation is specified in serial order against the vacancies of each School/ Departments.
- In the absence of reserved category , other reserved category or open competition category candidates will be considered.
All category candidates can submit applications for these posts.
Remuneration
Consolidated pay of ₹ 40,000 /- per month for UGC qualified candidates. In the absence of UGC qualified hands, non UGC candidates will be considered with a remuneration of ₹1600/- per day subject to a maximum of ₹40,000/- per month.
The initial period of engagement is for one academic year which is extendablefor another two more years based on the annual performance report.

Interested candidates shall send the duly filled proforma attached with this notification and signed hard copies of the original documents to prove age, community reservation, qualifications (Mark list and Degree Certificates) / Specialisation, proof that the journals are approved by UGC / peer reviewed, experience certificate, awards, proof for CGPA to percentage conversion and proof of all other additional qualifications to The Registrar, Mahatma Gandhi University, Priyadarsini Hills P O, Kottayam- 686 560 by ordinary post in an envelope marked as ” Application for the post of Assistant Professor on Contract – (Subject)- in the School of (name) on or before 10.09.2024, 4.30 PM.
