Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site teaching role for a Computer Science Teacher at The British School Yangon in Yangon. The Computer Science Teacher will design and deliver engaging lessons in computer science to students across different age groups and skill levels. Responsibilities include developing lesson plans, creating and aligning curriculum materials with the English National Curriculum, assessing student progress, and fostering innovative and critical thinking. The role also involves inspiring students to develop a passion for computer science and mathematics, equipping them with essential problem-solving and technological skills.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Computer Science and Computer Science Education
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development
- Strong understanding of Mathematics as it relates to computer science concepts
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- A recognized teaching qualification and experience teaching the English National Curriculum
- Ability to utilize technology effectively to enhance teaching and create an engaging learning environment
- Passion for education, mentorship, and fostering lifelong learning among students
- Prior experience working in international schools is a plus
