Role Description The Coding Teacher Surakarta is responsible for delivering engaging coding and STEAM-based lessons to students, following Educourse.id’s curriculum and teaching standards. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Yogyakarta, involving lesson planning, classroom instruction, and hands-on practice with coding tools and platforms. The role includes assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and adapting teaching methods to different learning styles and age groups. The teacher will collaborate with school partners and internal teams to coordinate schedules, support extracurricular programs, and continuously improve learning materials. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment, integrating AI-supported learning tools, and participating in training sessions to stay current with educational and technology trends.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Education and Teaching, with experience delivering lessons to children and/or teens.
- Skill in Lesson Planning and Training, including preparing structured, age-appropriate coding and STEAM activities.
- Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and support diverse learners.
- Practical knowledge of coding fundamentals (e.g., block-based programming, introductory languages) and an interest in STEAM education.
- Ability to manage classrooms effectively and create an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
- Comfort working with educational technology tools, including AI-supported learning platforms and basic AR applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience, especially in coding or STEM subjects, is highly beneficial.
- Willingness to work on-site in Yogyakarta and collaborate with school partners on extracurricular programs.
