The Manitoba Métis Federation seeks two passionate Child Care Assistants for their Li Chi Shevru Childcare Centre. As part of the Early Learning and Child Care Department, you will facilitate Métis-specific programming while providing care and education to children. Ideal candidates are energetic and flexible individuals committed to creating positive learning environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop a nurturing and positive learning space
• Ensure a safe and healthy environment for children
• Encourage resolution of conflicts among children
• Support children’s emotional expression and rights
• Participate in monthly discussions on children’s progress
Requirements:
• Completed 40-hour child care course
• At least one year of relevant experience
• Strong communication skills in writing and speaking
• Valid 1st Aid/CPR certification required
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Record Check
