Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Chemistry Teacher role based at The Premia Academy in Hyderabad. The Chemistry Teacher will plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate chemistry lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and educational philosophy. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching theoretical and practical chemistry concepts, conducting laboratory activities safely, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues to integrate science learning with other subjects, participate in staff meetings and school events, and maintain clear, respectful communication with students, families, and the wider school community. The role also involves fostering a classroom environment that promotes integrity, curiosity, and confidence in scientific thinking.
Qualifications

  • Strong subject-matter expertise in Chemistry Education, with a solid foundation in Chemistry and familiarity with related disciplines such as Physics.
  • Demonstrated Teaching experience, including the ability to manage classrooms, differentiate instruction, and support diverse learning needs.
  • Proficiency in Lesson Planning, curriculum alignment, and designing assessments that measure conceptual understanding and practical skills.
  • Excellent Communication skills for explaining complex concepts clearly, engaging learners, and collaborating with colleagues and families.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Science Education, or a related field; formal teacher training or certification is preferred.
  • Experience conducting safe, well-structured laboratory sessions and promoting responsible use of scientific equipment and materials.
  • Commitment to student-centered learning, holistic development, and the school’s values of integrity and curiosity.
  • Comfort with using educational technology and digital tools to enhance teaching and learning.
