Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Chemistry Teacher role based in Mumbai. The Chemistry Teacher will design and deliver engaging chemistry lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE and A Level curriculum, ensuring clear learning objectives and measurable outcomes. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, conducting classroom instruction, supervising laboratory sessions, assessing student work, and providing timely feedback. The role also involves maintaining a safe and well-organized lab environment, integrating technology where appropriate, and adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs. The teacher will participate in faculty meetings, parent interactions, school events, and collaborative planning to support the wider academic program and student well-being.
Qualifications

  • Strong subject expertise in Chemistry Education, with the ability to connect concepts to real-world applications; familiarity with Physics is an advantage for integrated science learning.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Teaching and Lesson Planning, including experience designing assessments and differentiated learning activities.
  • Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to learners at different levels and collaborate effectively with colleagues and families.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Science Education, or a closely related field; formal teacher training or certification is preferred.
  • Experience teaching IGCSE and/or A Level (Cambridge) curriculum is highly desirable, especially in an international or comparable school setting.
  • Commitment to inclusive, student-centered pedagogy, classroom management skills, and a proven ability to create a respectful, motivating learning environment.
  • Comfort with educational technology and digital tools to support lesson delivery, assessment, and communication.
  • Willingness to engage in continuous professional development and contribute to co-curricular and school-wide initiatives.
