are seeking a Care Officer to join a SEND provision in Chigwell.

This role is for a Residential school, supporting specialist students who have Social/ Emotional/ Mental Health needs from the ages of 5- 11 years. Please see below hours.
These students may have come from distressed or toxic backgrounds. The right candidate will need to be confident with de-escalation strategies, tough and know how to handle
challenging
behaviours.
You must also be empathetic and have a good understanding or background in special educational needs or Social emotional, mental health.
Resilience
and hard work are a must. An outdoors/sports/activity co-ordinator background would also be great, as this role entails a lot of outdoors activities.
Duties
would include
– – Providing
quality care
for children in a residential setting
– Assisting in developing and implementing care plans for each child, ensuring their physical, therapeutic, emotional, and social needs are met
– Carrying out daily activities such as meals, recreational activities, and educational programs
– Ensuring the health and well-being of children, such as administering medication as needed
– Maintaining accurate records of each child’s progress, behaviour, and any incidents that occur
– Working with parents, guardians, and other professionals involved in the child’s care to ensure a comprehensive approach to their well-being
Hours
– Monday – Friday 07:30am – 9:00pm

All pay rates quoted will be
inclusive
of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
