Position: Support Role for Campers at Camp STEAM
Become a crucial part of Camp STEAM’s mission to inspire children and youth as a Camper Behaviour Support. Engage in crafting supportive environments while fostering confidence through STEAM.
This exciting full-time, contract position involves managing camper behaviour, mentoring staff, and delivering enriching activities that incorporate technology and creativity. The ideal candidate has a customer-centric approach and a strong foundation in STEAM concepts. You’ll work independently while promoting positive experiences for all campers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversight of camper behaviour and interactions
• Facilitate engaging STEM activities during pick-up/drop-off
• Mentor Counsellors and develop skills in behaviour management
• Implement strategies to enhance camper experience
• Address concerns and support staff throughout camp
Requirements:
• Experience in behaviour support for children
• Educational Assistant or ECE certification preferred
• Familiarity with technology in education
• Excellent collaboration and planning skills
• Required Standard First Aid Certification and Police Check
