Role Description The Bahasa Indonesia Teacher will design and deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia, including reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. Day-to-day tasks include preparing lesson plans and instructional materials, teaching classes, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The teacher will support students’ learning through interactive activities, classroom discussions, and tailored support for different learning needs. Additional responsibilities include participating in staff meetings, collaborating with colleagues on curriculum development, and maintaining accurate records of student performance. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Surabaya.
Qualifications

  • Ability to plan and implement effective lessons, with strong skills in Lesson Planning and Teaching.
  • Background in Education and Training, including familiarity with modern teaching methodologies.
  • Excellent Communication skills to interact clearly and respectfully with students, colleagues, and families.
  • Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia, with strong grammar and writing skills; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Indonesian Language, Linguistics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior classroom teaching experience, ideally at school level, and the ability to manage diverse classrooms.
  • Organizational skills, reliability, and a commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory teaching practices.
  • Willingness to participate in professional development and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
