The International Institute of Information Technology (I²IT), Pune is looking for a passionate and dynamic Communication & Employability Skills Trainer to prepare engineering students for academic excellence, industry readiness, and successful careers.
This role offers an opportunity to work closely with students, helping them develop communication competence, professional etiquette, leadership qualities, and employability skills required by leading organizations.
About the Role
The Communication & Employability Skills Trainer will be responsible for designing and delivering training programs that enhance students' communication abilities, soft skills, professional behavior, and placement readiness. The trainer will work with students across undergraduate and postgraduate programs and collaborate with faculty members, the Training & Placement Cell.
Key ResponsibilitiesCommunication Skills Development
- Conduct interactive sessions on verbal and written communication.
- Train students in public speaking, presentations, group discussions, and business communication.
- Develop students' confidence in professional and academic interactions.
- Improve workplace communication, email etiquette, and professional correspondence.
Employability & Placement Readiness
- Conduct aptitude and employability enhancement programs.
- Prepare students for campus recruitment processes.
- Train students in resume writing, LinkedIn profile development, and personal branding.
- Conduct mock interviews, HR interview preparation, and GD practice sessions.
- Guide students on workplace behavior and professional etiquette.
Student Mentoring
- Mentor students for career planning and professional development.
- Identify training needs through assessments and feedback.
- Support students in improving confidence, leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Track student progress and maintain training records.
Desired Candidate ProfileEducational Qualifications
- Master's Degree in English, Communication, Soft Skills, Human Resources, Psychology, Education, Management, or related disciplines.
- Relevant certifications in Soft Skills Training, Communication Skills, Corporate Training, Employability Skills, or Career Coaching will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Freshers with excellent communication and presentation skills are encouraged to apply.
- Prior experience in training, teaching, student development, placement preparation, corporate training, or L&D will be preferred.
Required Skills
- Excellent spoken and written English communication.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate large student groups.
- Student mentoring and counseling abilities.
- Knowledge of campus recruitment processes and industry expectations.
