Role Description The Associate role at Hadhramout University is a full-time, on-site position based in Mukalla. The Associate will support academic and administrative activities, including assisting in teaching-related tasks, coordinating course materials, and contributing to research and departmental projects. Daily responsibilities may involve student advising, preparing documentation and reports, collaborating with faculty and staff on academic initiatives, and participating in university committees or events as assigned. The role also includes maintaining accurate records, supporting quality assurance processes, and helping to strengthen links between the university, its centers, and external partners. The Associate is expected to uphold the university’s standards of professionalism, ethics, and service to students and the wider community.
Qualifications

  • Academic background in a relevant discipline, with at least a bachelor’s degree; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience in higher education or academic settings, including familiarity with teaching support, student services, or research activities.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, including the ability to manage schedules, documentation, and multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural academic environment.
  • Ability to use common office and educational technologies, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation tools, and learning management systems.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional ethics, continuous learning, and supporting the university’s mission and values.
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic is an asset, along with the ability to prepare clear written reports and academic materials.
  • Willingness to be present on campus in Mukalla and to participate in university events, committees, and community engagement activities.
