Position: Assistant Teacher for Special Needs
Location: Petrolia

Become an Assistant Teacher focusing on Early Intervention, working one Saturday weekly. This pivotal role involves enhancing educational experiences for children with developmental needs.

You will collaborate on programs designed to meet children’s unique learning requirements and prepare quality teaching aids. The position requires observing, evaluating, and accurately recording each child’s growth. Creating a nurturing environment through positive discipline strategies is key, as is maintaining strong relationships with children and their parents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing educational programs to support children’s needs

• Create and prepare age-appropriate teaching materials

• Observe and document children’s developmental progress

• Upkeep of classroom materials and arrangement

• Promote positive behavior through effective discipline techniques

Requirements:

• Experience with special needs children is an advantage

• Minimum of GCE “O” Level qualification

• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities

• Consistently proactive and approachable

• Basic computer proficiency, especially in MS Excel
