Position: Full-Time Assistant Teacher at Family Day

Family Day is seeking an Assistant Teacher for a contract role beginning July 2, 2026, through August 28, 2026. Collaborate with E.C.E. Teachers to implement educational programs aligned with the Child Care and Early Years Act. You’ll play a crucial role in planning, assessing, and responding to diverse needs of children aged 0-12 years in a caring group environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support High/Scope® curriculum implementation and assessments
• Assist in program planning focused on children’s interests
• Observe and evaluate child progress in development
• Provide plans for children with special needs
• Communicate respectfully with families and colleagues
Requirements:
• Experience in child care or education setting
• Knowledge of early learning best practices
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Medical and police checks current to hiring date
• Standard First Aid and CPR certification
