Role Description
We are seeking a passionate and reliable Assistant Teacher to support our classroom environment in our Spanish Immersion Program. The Assistant Teacher will work closely with the Lead Teacher to help create a safe, organized, and engaging environment where children can learn through play and daily routines. This role involves supporting classroom activities, assisting with transitions, and helping maintain a positive and structured atmosphere throughout the day.
The Assistant Teacher will also help guide children’s behavior, support their social and emotional development, and contribute to a warm and nurturing classroom culture. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children, is proactive, and is willing to learn and grow within a collaborative team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (or equivalent experience High School Diploma or GED
- Experience working with young children (childcare, school, or similar setting preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow direction and work as part of a team
- Basic technology skills (iPad, apps, communication platforms)
- Reliable, patient, and nurturing
- Fluency in Spanish or openness to a Spanish immersion environment
Preferred Qualifications
- CDA (Child Development Associate) Certification or coursework in Early Childhood Education or child development
- Experience in a childcare or preschool setting
- Familiarity with play-based learning environments
- Flexible availability and willingness to grow within the program
