Position Overview
North Idaho College is seeking an engaging and student-focused educator to join our Business Department as an Assistant Professor of Business
. This position provides instruction and advising for students pursuing degrees and certificates in Business and may include coursework in business, economics, and marketing across face‑to‑face, online, and interactive video delivery formats.
Key Responsibilities
Faculty in this role teach a variety of business-related courses, create engaging learning experiences, evaluate student learning outcomes, and support students through advising and mentorship. The position also contributes to curriculum development, assessment efforts, recruitment activities, committee work, and community partnerships that strengthen student success and workforce relevance. Opportunities may include teaching off-site dual credit, evening, or weekend courses.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or related field is required.
- Demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of students, faculty, and staff from all backgrounds.
- Strong communication and classroom leadership skills; ability to motivate and connect with students from all backgrounds.
- Enthusiasm for teaching, adaptability across instructional formats, and commitment to continuous improvement and student‑centered learning.
- Knowledge of the mission of a comprehensive community college and ability to contribute positively to a collegial academic environment.

Compensation and Work Schedule
Starting pay range: $52,359 – $72,670. This tenure‑track position has summers off, with pay and benefits spread over 12 months.
