Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Phnom Penh for an Assistant Professor at the American University of Phnom Penh. The Assistant Professor will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in their subject area, developing and updating course curricula, mentoring students, and conducting research. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with faculty on academic initiatives, contributing to curriculum development, and participating in service activities within the university.
Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge and expertise in the relevant academic discipline, with a demonstrated ability to teach at the university level.
- Experience designing and updating course curricula to align with institutional goals and academic standards.
- Strong research and analytical skills with a track record of publications or significant contributions to the field.
- Excellent communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and colleagues.
- Proficiency in English as the medium of instruction, with effective teaching and presentation skills.

- Ph.D. in the relevant field is required; prior teaching or post-doctoral experience is preferred.
