Role Description The Assistant Preschool Teacher is a full-time, on-site role based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This position supports the lead teacher in implementing Montessori and STEAM-based activities, preparing learning materials, and maintaining an engaging, child-centered classroom environment. Daily responsibilities include assisting with lesson delivery, guiding children through individual and group activities, supervising indoor and outdoor play, and ensuring a safe, inclusive space for all learners. The Assistant Preschool Teacher also helps with classroom organization, documentation of student progress, communication with families when needed, and collaboration with colleagues to support school events and programs.
Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Early Childhood Education and experience working with preschool or kindergarten-age children.
  • Ability to support Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development in line with Montessori and STEAM principles.
  • Effective Communication skills for interacting with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Understanding of kindergarten readiness, child development, and age-appropriate instructional strategies.
  • Patience, empathy, and a child-centered approach to learning and behavior management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team and follow school policies and procedures.
  • Organizational skills for maintaining classroom materials, schedules, and records.
  • Relevant diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; Montessori training is an advantage.
  • Basic proficiency in English and local language, with clear spoken and written communication.
