The Design & Art Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging and creative lessons that inspire students to develop artistic skills, creativity, critical thinking, and visual communication abilities. The teacher will create a positive learning environment that supports student growth in both practical and theoretical aspects of art and design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Art and Design lessons in line with the school curriculum.
- Encourage creativity, innovation, and independent thinking among students.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and classroom activities.
- Teach a range of artistic techniques, media, and design concepts.
- Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, projects, and examinations.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and reports.
- Create a safe, organized, and inspiring classroom environment.
- Organize exhibitions, displays, and student art showcases when required.
- Support students in developing portfolios and creative projects.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents and school leadership regarding student progress.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of art materials and equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Art, Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in the same subject area.
