About The Role

We are seeking a skilledArt Teacherto design and deliver high-quality visual arts programs for students of all experience levels. This role plays a key part in maintaining Hazelhurst’s reputation for excellence by fostering a supportive, inclusive, and professionally enriching learning environment.

You will bring both artistic expertise and teaching experience, guiding students through creative development while sharing contemporary art practices and industry insight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver visual arts programs across various media (e.g. painting, drawing, ceramics, printmaking, mixed media)
  • Support students from beginner to advanced levels
  • Create a welcoming, safe and engaging studio environment
  • Maintain high standards of studio safety and presentation
  • Mentor students and share contemporary art practices

About You

  • Qualified in Visual Arts or Design (Degree or Advanced Diploma)
  • Practising artist with demonstrated teaching experience
  • Strong skills in one or more visual arts disciplines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)

Desirable:Teaching qualifications, multi-disciplinary experience, exhibitions/awards, First Aid.

  • Package:$93,854 gross p.a (full time equivalent) plus 12% superannuation.
  • Hourly Rate:$51.56 gross per hour plus 12% superannuation.
  • Hours of work:Permanent Part Time – working 7 hours per week.
