Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Art Teacher at LAIS – The British School of Angola, located in Luanda. The Art Teacher will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging art lessons, developing the art curriculum, and fostering creativity and artistic expression among students. The role also involves guiding students in various art forms such as painting while maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Collaboration with other educators and participation in school events will also be integral to this position.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development to design structured and inspiring art education programs
- Strong skills in Teaching and Art Education to effectively communicate concepts and foster a creative learning environment
- Proficiency in Painting and other artistic techniques to demonstrate and guide students in practical art projects
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues
- An ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles
- Previous teaching experience in art education or a related field is preferred
- A degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related subject is desirable
