Role Description The Academic Instructor (Hospitality) is a full-time, on-site role based in Bangkok City, Thailand. The instructor will teach hospitality and tourism management courses in English, using a mix of lectures, demonstrations, and practical activities aligned with I-TIM’s curriculum. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and teaching materials, assessing student performance, providing feedback, and maintaining accurate academic records. The instructor will contribute to curriculum enhancement, support student projects and internships, and mentor learners on professional skills and industry expectations. The role also involves collaborating with colleagues on academic initiatives, participating in school events, and maintaining strong ties with the hospitality industry to keep course content current.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills, including clear spoken and written English and the ability to engage diverse student groups.
- Proficiency in Curriculum Development and Education practices, including lesson planning and assessment design.
- Demonstrated Teaching and Training experience, ideally in hospitality, tourism, or related service industries.
- Relevant academic background, such as a bachelor’s degree or higher in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Education, or a related field.
- Professional experience in the hospitality or tourism sector, with practical insight into hotel, restaurant, or travel operations.
- Ability to use classroom technology and learning management systems to support instruction and student engagement.
- Strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and a student-centered approach to mentoring and academic support.
- Willingness to contribute to school activities, industry partnerships, and continuous improvement of academic programs.
