Role Description The 5th Grade ELA Teacher is a full-time, on-site role based in Miami, FL. This educator will plan and deliver standards-based English Language Arts lessons that build reading comprehension, writing skills, vocabulary, and critical thinking. Daily responsibilities include designing and implementing engaging instructional activities, differentiating instruction for diverse learners, assessing student progress, and providing timely feedback. The teacher will collaborate with grade-level and support staff, communicate regularly with families, and participate in school-wide initiatives and professional development. The role also involves maintaining an organized, inclusive classroom environment that supports students’ academic growth and social-emotional development.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Teaching and Elementary Education, with experience guiding upper-elementary students in ELA content.
- Ability to develop and implement effective Curriculum Development and Education plans aligned with state standards.
- Strong Communication skills for interacting with students, families, colleagues, and administrators.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; valid state teaching certification or eligibility for certification in Elementary Education/Language Arts.
- Experience with data-driven instruction, differentiated teaching strategies, and classroom management best practices.
- Competence in using educational technology and digital resources to support literacy instruction.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, culturally responsive learning environment and collaborating within a team-oriented school culture.
