Role Description
Anna’s House School is seeking an experienced, thoughtful educator to join our Elementary faculty for the 2026–2027 school year. As a small, independent school in Staunton, Virginia, we value deep relationships, academic excellence, and joyful learning.
The ideal candidate demonstrates integrity, professional maturity, and a genuine love of working with children. This educator will bring both warmth and structure to the classroom, along with strong organizational skills and a clear sense of responsibility. We seek a teacher who is reflective in practice, confident in instructional decision-making, and energized by the opportunity to know students deeply.
Our new colleague will have intellectual curiosity, steady leadership, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with professionalism and grace. We are looking for someone who approaches challenges with creativity and sound judgment, collaborates thoughtfully with colleagues, and communicates clearly and respectfully with students, families, and staff.
This is a full-time position for the 2026–2027 academic year.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Curriculum Development, Teaching, and Elementary Education
- Strong Communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues
- Demonstrated expertise in managing and delivering elementary education practices
- A Bachelor's degree in Education or an equivalent qualification
- Teaching certification or license for elementary education is preferred
- Patience, creativity, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and nurturing environment
- Experience in private school education is preferred but not mandatory
